Well I received an interesting cyber scam email the other day and I image it will be very effective.  Even I almost clicked on the attachment out of curiosity.

The email was from what appeared to be a ‘real’ email address.  He pretended to be a doctor who had received personal information about me and wanted to alert me.  In the body of the email he included my address and said this was a sample and all the info was included in the attached word doc.

It is easy enough for scammers to purchase (or steal) lists of people and their addresses.  In other words, your address is not hard to find – even if you’re not in the phone book – do we still have those?

Don’t open the attachment and if you did, click through to our support team ASAP.
